Prabowo: Intel is the Intelligence of the Enemy of the Country, Don't Intelligence the Former President of the Republic of Indonesia
Monitor Utama. Presidential candidate number 02, Prabowo Subianto criticized the Indonesian state intelligence work which he considered was not in accordance with his duties. He said, intelligence work should be spying on enemies of the state, not vice versa, to organize domestic figures. This was conveyed when he held the National Speech Event with a vision and mission presentation entitled 'Indonesia Wins' on January 14, 2019, which was held at the Jakarta Convention Center.
"Intel is the intelligence of the enemy of the state, not the intelligence of the former Indonesian president, the former chairman of the MPR, his son's proclamator, the former TNI commander, the intelligence of our great clerics," said Prabowo Subianto.
During the speech, there were also figures such as the 6th President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, former chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly Amien Rais, and daughter of the proclamator Bung Karno who was also the Board of Trustees of the Gerindra Party namely Rachmawati Soekarno Putri, BPN spokesman Prabowo-Sandi Danhil Anzar, Titiek Soeharto, Zulkifli Hasan, and many more invited guests were present.
In his speech, Prabowo had the opportunity to allow intelligence officers to monitor the actions of the Commander of the Army Strategic Reserve Command.
"If you want the intelligence of the former Pangkostrad it's okay," he said. The Army Strategic Reserve Command was the position that Prabowo had occupied when he was active in his career in the military.
Prabowo also said that Indonesia needs quality law enforcers, because as we have known, Indonesian law still seems sharp downward and blunt upward. According to Prabowo, a strong country must have strong government institutions and law enforcement with integrity.
"It needs honest and superior judges, honest and superior prosecutors, superior and honest police, superior intelligence and loyalty to the nation and the people," Prabowo said.
In his speech this time, his vision and mission were joined in five focuses, namely: an economy that prioritizes the people, enhances the quality of life and people's welfare, legal certainty and quality democracy, makes Indonesia a safe home, and strengthens the character and personality of the nation.
